There are many daunting questions a Racer faces upon their return to the States.
“How was your year?”
“What was your favorite country?”
And of course, the inevitable : “What’s next?“
Even though your friends, former 5th grade teacher, and over-concerned parents intend well, its important to wade through the chaos, questions, and opinions and get to what really matters : “God, what are YOU saying?”
When I initially signed up for PSL, my only intention was to have “closure” from my World Race. I wanted to see familiar faces …and that was it.
When I actually showed up to PSL, I got so much more than I bargained for : 4 squads consisting of 100+ Racers that all have experienced, firsthand, the goodness and faithfulness of God across countless countries and cultures, a variety of speakers and ministry opportunities, and space to listen …all while being surrounded by familiar faces.
Project Searchlight offered everything from practical re-entry advice, to deep life-altering words straight from the Throneroom.
So, if you come to PSL, will you hear God’s voice?
That’s up to you.
News flash, we aren’t in the Old Testiment days anymore. God isn’t confined to a box or one specific place. He’s alive and active, and He’s speaking. The issue isn’t if He’s speaking, but rather “when He speaks, are we listening?”
Maybe you already know what’s next. Maybe you already have an idea of what you want your life to look like. But what if God still has something to say to you? I’m convinced that He does. We are constantly growing and conforming more and more into His image. He’s just as concerned about you NOW, as He was about you on the Race.
So, I challenge you with this : Get in a position to hear the voice of God. He desires to speak with you, and I can personally testify that PSL will provide you with the space to listen.
