World Race: Month 1: Novi Sad, Serbia

He’s calling home the wayward sons. He’s breaking chains and addictions. He’s drawing all men unto Himself. He’s bringing life into a dry and thirsty land. Take heart, Serbia! The King of Glory is coming in!

“Lift up your head, O gates! Be lifted up, O Ancient doors, that the King of Glory may come in!

Who is this King of Glory? The LORD strong and Mighty, The LORD mighty in battle!” Psalm 24:7-8

My time in Novi Sad, Serbia has been nothing short of incredible.

We’ve been ministering to the men in the drug rehabilitation center, teaching English at a local coffee shop, building relationships with families in the church, providing aid to Syrian Refugees, performing dramas/skits, and sharing our testimonies.

Because of the language barrier, we have partnered with some women/teens in the church to translate for us. Since we know very little Serbian, having volunteers to translate for us has been extremely helpful! I can count to 10 and say “Dah”, which means “yes”, but that’s pretty much the extent of my Serbian.

A few days ago, when I was making breakfast, I heard the Lord tell me, “Thank you for being my translators.” I paused for a moment and let it sink in… We are His translaters! Wow! That’s exactly what we’re doing!

The Lord led me here to partner with Him in what He is already doing. He knows that I will listen to His voice, and He trust me to be His translator! What a privilege to be trusted by God to listen to Him and speak His Word!!

As I’ve sat with Him during my time in Serbia, I’m begining to realize that I’ve merely touched the surface of understanding His goodness, His beauty, His majesty, His mercy, and ALL that He is.

“One thing that I desire of the Lord, this one thing I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, and to seek Him in His holy temple” Psalm 27:4

“Come and consume, God, all we are

We give You permission, our hearts are Yours

We want You, we want You”

Just when we think it can’t get any better, He shows us so much more. This opportunity to be on the World Race is bringing me into new depths of my relationship with God that I didn’t even know were possible.

It’s been exciting to walk with Him, hand-in-hand, into the unknown.

My next financial deadline of $13,000 is October 31. Would you consider parntering with my as I continue to be God’s translator? He has so much more He wants to do!

Next stop, and Month 2 of my World Race… Lazhe, Albania!
