“May the favor of our Lord God rest upon us…” Psalm 90:17
“For You bless the righteous, O Lord. You cover him with favor as with a shield” Psalm 5:12
I’ve been at the Atlanta airport less than an hour, and I’m already seeing God show up in crazy ways! My team was relocated to another section of the airport as we wait to be checked in. On my way to the designated meeting place, I saw a Starbucks. Somehow, I ended up in line with BOTH my expedition pack and daypack. Apparently, my desire for a tall Double Chocolate Chip frappuccino outweighed the 41lb pack on my back and my 35lb daypack that I was carrying. The woman in front of me had this gorgeous wedding ring that caught my eye, so I decided to comment on it. Before I knew it, I was sharing about my faith-journey to Georgia and how the Lord led me to the World Race. She listened intently with giddy excitement and asked me for my Facebook and blog information so she could follow my journey. By the time we reached the register, she insisted on buying my Starbucks drink ( #favor ) and gave me a huge hug to send me off!
What a BEAUTIFUL, unexpected blessing!! I never grow tired of God arranging Divine-appointments in the most random of places. I’ve personally experienced His grace and favor throughout my life in such a way that there could be no other explanation. Following Him and doing life with Him is SO FUN!! I feel like this is only the beginning. Who knows what He has for us next?! My heart is so excited for what’s to come.
Today is our FIRST travel day
First stop: Chicago, Illinois
Second Stop: Istanbul, Turkey
… And finally, SERBIA!!
Prayer Requests: Pray for MORE Divine Appointments and safety as we travel! Also, be praying for our Serbian ministry host and the hearts of the people we will be serving. Thanks friends!!
