Waiting. I'm not a fan of it. In fact, I really dislike it. I can be a patient person at times, but when it comes to starting new adventures, I tend to lean towards the more impatient side. However, one thing that I'm learning very quickly about the world race is that I will be doing a lot of waiting.
First, I was waiting for training camp. Then I was waiting for launch. I was so excited to leave, to be finally embarking on this grand adventure. When I got to launch, I realized we would be in Atlanta for a while. More waiting…. We had to wait for sessions, wait to get information, and wait to leave. Wait, wait, wait. I think the Lord is trying to raise up some patience in me.
But now the time is finally here! Tomorrow morning, my squad mates and I will be all packed up and ready to go. We will be leaving our hotel at 9 am to make sure we can get all 46 of us to our flight on time. Our first flight leaves Atlanta at 1:45 pm. We have a layover in Tokyo for two hours then we will be flying on to Bangkok, Thailand at about 11 pm. Upon our arrival in Thailand, we will be getting on a bus and driving for 12 hours to our final destination: Chiang Mai.
This will be our ministry site for the month. I'm not sure what we will be doing exactly yet, but I do know that this month our entire squad will be in the same area. We get to stay together for month one!!! 🙂 My squad and I would really appreciate your prayers for our journey. Next time I'll be posting, it will be from Thailand!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!!
