Wow.
$36,200…
That’s how much we needed to do this thing called the “World Race”. That’s no small number for a young married couple to visualize.
When we first began prayerfully considering the World Race as a platform to launch into international missions, the financial obstacle was by far the largest one in our way.
Leaving behind America after 6 shorts months of living there again was uncomfortable, but we were willing. Saying goodbye to friends and family was more difficult than expected, but we were still willing to do it. Following God into the unknown of our living situation for the year made us a little uneasy, but we were willing.
Each of these things were in our control to give up. But $36,200? We didn’t have that to give up. We were willing, but our bank account didn’t have the tools for the task at hand.
Thankfully, we serve a God who is known as “Jehovah Jireh” —— The provider. The Lord will provide.
AND HE DID!!
The “Big News” is that WE ARE FULLY FUNDED!!
We both knew this day would come, but it’s been a long time coming! Looking back on the past 16 months, we have seen the hand of God at work time and time again. He has consistently proved Himself as Jehovah Jireh in our lives. He provided jobs for us in our crazy, transitional state. He provided friends and family to surround us and support us in unthinkable ways. He provided some of the most RANDOM people and events to provide in both physical and spiritual ways for us, and they have helped equip us for the work we are currently doing today!
The Word of God has continuously proven true for us:
“but my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phillippians 4:19)”
“He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:25-33)
All of the glory and praise goes to God. He has never failed us.

Our hearts are so full right now! Each of you who made the decision to partner with us financially should know that God is using your gift right now to fuel the ministry that is being done around the world this year. It’s all so much bigger than you, and it’s so much bigger than us!
We hope that you continue to stay involved in what lies ahead and are encouraged by what has already taken place. You have played a part in all of this just as we have, and we can’t wait to update you with the stories of all that God is doing in the nations around the world this year!
