Why the World Race?
Living in Greece for the past few years, our eyes have been opened to the fact that there is so much more out there than the American dream. The World Race is an opportunity for us to leave behind the comforts that America holds, and venture out on a journey to reach other nations for the sake of the Gospel. As we set out on this journey to “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19), our hope and prayer is that we will make ourselves available to be used by God, meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of those around the world. We know that this will be a huge learning experience, and we cannot wait to see how much the Lord will change us and grow us in the year to come.

“So I’m super pumped about the World Race. Probably because I have a passion for the Gospel, and for people, but also for traveling and experiencing new places! A little about me: For the past 4 years I have been a Master at Arms in the U.S. Navy, and I got to drive boats, shoot guns(thankfully not at anyone), and live in Greece. Pretty awesome experience! In 2015 I got to marry my beautiful high school sweetheart, Katherine, and life just hasn’t been the same. Everyday is an awesome adventure, and I could not have been blessed by God with a more amazing lady. In my spare time, I love to go hiking, swimming, and camping…and traveling of course! I also play drums, enjoy photography and making videos. Can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for this next chapter of our lives!”

“So, a little about me… First of all, I HATE writing about myself, but I suppose I will have to get over that a bit (aka, Kaydan may be doing most of the blogging;) ). I am really excited for the World Race, because it will be an opportunity to learn more about God, who He has called me to be, and all of the beautiful people He loves around the world! I am so glad that I get to walk through this journey alongside my husband, Kaydan, who is a wonderful encourager, dreamer, and leader. He shows me the love of Christ in so many ways and is always there to remind me that God is in control when I get lost in my tendency to worry. I am so thankful for him, and the wonderful family and friends who have loved us and supported us through the years. Here are a few facts about me… I was born in Fargo, ND, but grew up mostly in Memphis, TN. I am a huge nerd who loves to read, learn, and is passionate about math, science, and medicine. I enjoy creating art, eating spicy food, playing soccer, traveling, and spending time outdoors. And I love drinking coffee with close friends, and feel that life in community is the best way to live.”
