During Training Camp, the Adventures In Missions staff told us that it was highly recommended that we blog once per week. They talked about journaling once a day and then using written blogs and video blogs to share stories and experiences we walked through throughout the year. To be honest, I thought this was a bit much and that there was no way I would meet this “quota” required of me. I saw it as a chore that I would complete at the bare minimum A.I.M. Standards. For those of you who have being following my blogs and Race so far, you know that I literally wrote a blog about why I didn’t write a blog! God has a huge sense of humor because he took that blog and decided to use me in a different way than I ever expected.

He took the girl who wrote and rewrote her “About Me” section 7 times and still only had “My name is Kayce Clodfelter and I am 27 years old” after 4 hours, and he shared his heart with her and began pouring his words into her at an exponential rate. I have journaled everyday since launch and God has laid on my heart that blogging and vlogging is far from a chore. Instead it is my calling. It serves as a ministry for friends, family members, and even strangers back home. God wants me to share my experiences, my trials, my life lessons, and the stories of his people with those in the states and around the world. There are nights where he pours into me and I can’t stop typing until he is done. God shared his heart with me and it is my calling to share it with each of you.

Today God called me to find a story and share it. Story-telling is something I never thought I would do, but as I meet new Swazis every day, I feel a huge passion developing inside of me to share their stories with each of you. Their stories are inspirational; their stories matter. As I was speaking with Swazis and team members after devotion today, God led me to young man named William Mtsetfwa.

William Mtsetfwa

  • Age: 26 years old
  • Born in: Manzini, Swaziland
  • Occupation: Shepherd at Ngungwane Carepoint
  • Favorite sport: Cycling and running
  • Siblings: 2 sisters and 3 brothers
  • Favorite childhood memory: When his father used to take him and his siblings to the trade fair in town. Going to town was always a special treat. At the trade fairs he and his siblings got to play lots of games in town.
  • Something personal to William: In Grade 2 his class teacher had the class spell their surname praises. Surname praises depict the history and cause of their surname. William was the first one to get the spelling correct. He stated that “this was the first sense of confidence I received in my schoolwork.” His smile radiated as he shared this with me. You could tell to this day it is still a huge source of confidence for him that makes him proud.
  • Full name: William Mtsetfwa Jobe Nyambose
  • Favorite bible verse: Matthew 6:33 “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

This is William… and this is his story…
