I know I know….you are probably thinking really? Did she
really just get inspiration from a Miley Cyris song? But hold on….let me
explain. When reflecting on this month in Ireland I have realized that this
journey is going to be a climb with many hills, valleys, rocky paths,
waterfalls, overgrown bushes, and most of all along the way beautiful and
indescribable sights. This month in Ireland has been amazing! Along the way it
has had some hills where you feel that you might just never reach the top or
the end of the climb. There have been some valleys where you feel that you may
never reach the goals that you have personally to grow and fall deeper in love
with Jesus. There are some rocky paths where you must work together with people
from all over the USA that have been brought up in a very different way from
you but still beautiful in their own way. There has been waterfalls in the fact
that tears have been shed over my heart breaking for the people that I have
encountered. There have been overgrown bushes where you have to get used to
pulling out the weeds from your life and work on yourself. Along the way when
you stop and think about the conversations that you have been able to have with
the people and the encounters that you have with travelers from the
community…it is ALL worth it. One of my teammates (Kelly) explains a couple of
the encounters we have been able to have! I have also gotten the opportunity to
have beautiful conversations with some travelers. I even got my make-up done
like a traveler J
Even though there is times when you want to pull your hair out, when you get to
the top you never regret making the climb.
