Dear Ghana,
With you my friend meant the start of something new. A new team, a new desire to push through the hardship of Africa, a new love of your culture. It also meant a second, unexpected all squad month, but this also came with a new excitement to get to know my squad with a new heart.
You introduced me to so many people that have taken up residence in my heart.
You showed me that sometimes all you need is to hold the hand of a child to show them love.
You showed me that the skills you gift me with can be used in the most unlikely times, and that even without words, you can share the gospel.
You taught me that stepping out of your comfort zone can lead you to some of the most rewarding times of your life.
You brought about conversation that has impacted my Race so fiercely and friendships that will last long into my life, and long after into eternity.
You were so good to me Ghana, even through sickness. Even through exhaustion and tears. You were good to me. Thank you so much for your people and your love.
It’s Okay, No Problem,
Katy May
