hooray!! I’m back in Texas!

I don’t think it has really hit me yet that I won’t be moving to a new location at the end of this month. So I’m riding this wave of happiness before I hit that wall of ‘oh crap. I’m back to the ‘real world’
Quick update: Since being back in Texas, I have seen all of my closest friends (near and far thanks to skype), all family members, applied to every job posting that America has put online, gotten the opportunity to help lead a team of high schoolers to Poland for spring break (tell you more about that later!!!!) and taken in a stray cat that I’m sure Jesus has sent me as a welcome present.
Today I have decided to start updating all my picture blogs. So this is the start of a very long series of
catching-you-up-on-what-the-world-looks-like

I’m going to go in order, but first, here is one of my favorite nights of the race.
>>So, I guess I’m not really going to go in order. whatever.<<
Some of my squad-mates dedicated a night in Africa to get baptized. So intimate and beautiful and fun.
Hey, remember when you got baptized in Africa?

Sometimes I wish I could be baptized everyday. To just be dunked in the nearest pool of water, in all my clothes, in front of who ever is watching, declaring that I have faith in the most wonderful Savior that this world will ever see… EVERYDAY. There is just something about coming back out of that water, you know? Everything is made new. You yell and rejoice and high-five. Good has won over evil and satan can suck it.
>>I know it would take a lot of effort from my friends and family, but wouldn’t that be so cool?<<

I wish I could make myself just wake up to that realization daily. But come on, *honest time* I don’t do that. I think that’s why I feel like I would need the actual act of being baptized every single day to get it through my head. Sometimes I just forget how truly blessed I am to know my Maker, to have been made completely new in Him, to be on the winning side of things.
Do you remember being baptized? Was it like this? Do you want to get baptized like this?
