It’s always difficult to find a starting point for an About Me write up. What should people know and how would I describe myself? With the variety of interest I have and the numerous pursuits I’m on there’s only one easy answer that I keep coming back to. I am a child of God.
I am a child of God that enjoys conversations about His kingdom and the reality of His presence here on earth. I tend to be slightly introverted but if someone engages me on existential topics of any kind I find it hard to keep quiet and could talk for hours. Though it wasn’t always this way, God called me in my early 20’s and I thankfully responded to His pursuit of my heart.
Since then I have continued to grow with Him. I went back to school in the fall of 2014 to pursue more of His truth and the way His creation has flourished. I received my Bachelor degree in 2016 and I am currently working on a dual Master in both Psychology and Theology. It’s fascinating to study the Creator and the created at the same time. I’ve authored 3 books, 2 of which focus on Christ, and am looking into avenues of publication for 365 Days of Happiness and Truth along with 52 Weeks of Prayer.
I enjoy making art and painting with acrylics. I tend garden on my balcony in Hollywood California, taking care of at least 2 dozen plants, and am always looking for beautiful additions. I work in the television world and have been producing reality tv for over 10 years now, with a dream to produce my own recreation show based on the transforming power of Jesus.
I love to travel, see new things, and experience new adventures. I’ve already been to places like France, London, Jerusalem, Jordan, Indonesia, Brazil, and South Africa but the combination of serving Jesus and expanding my travels is something I’m very excited about doing with the World Race. This will be my second missions trip and my first time ever being away from home for this long. I’m looking forward to see God move, through and in me. I’m praying for strength and a sensitivity to Holy Spirit. I have no idea what this next year is going to bring but there’s no doubt that I’ll fall more in love with our Lord and hope you’ll be following along with supportive prayer. Stay tuned for more because I think we’ll be finding out a lot more “About me.”
In Christ and joyfully His,
Katrina-
