The World Race is becoming more and more of a reality. I leave for a week of training camp, in just over twelve hours. I haven't packed, I haven't finished my homework, I haven't even taken my tent out of the bag and set it up yet! But I know God is in control!, He has HUGE plans for all the squads that will be there this week, it is really evident in how much Satan is trying to discourage the people in my squad, through finances, through sickness, through injuries and mentally. I know I have been in some battles this week, but I am not letting them stop me! I have been sick all week, bad enough that I actually debated calling the doctor (I hate going to the doctor, so I did feel horrible!). I was STRESSED, I was observed for my student teaching, the classroom teacher I work with was gone for 8 1/2 days in the last two weeks of school. I had/have a TON of homework to do because of missing the next week, I felt like there wasn't enough time in the day, I had my LAST teaching certification related test yesterday (Which I passed!!!!!!! NO MORE TESTS!). I was getting dragged down, but I knew that the reason things felt so hard was because Satan was trying to discourage me, (and it worked a good deal of the time). But things will get better because:
I will finally meet #Nsquad in person
I get to dress up like a SMURF (our squad color is blue)
I will be surrounded by about 300 Jesus loving people my age. (M, N, O & P Squads)
I will get some much needed time with my Jesus, which will be both hard and great (I know there are things God will bring up this week in me that I will need to deal with)
I will meet my team. (The 5-6 other people I will be traveling with, spending everyday and every minute with for the first part of the race)
Oh and the weather in GA, is WARMER than here!
Time to go pack and finish homework…. Expect an update when I get back in a week or so.
