This month my team and I have the privilege of doing two very special ministries here in Bolivia. We will be spending our time working on the World Race’s Unsung Heroes Campaign (UHC) which I will explain here shortly and in an ATL month or Ask The Lord month.

Currently we are working from the city of La Paz, where we are following the Lord’s leading in what types of ministries He wants us to be doing. We are currently feeling lead to spend time in prayer for the city, especially the people on the streets and the people in our hostel. We have plans to spend time in one of the local Plaza’s playing worship, offering free prayer and passing out bread to those around us. We are unsure how long we will be in La Paz, but know that for however long we are here God is going to work in us. We know that we have to be in Santa Cruz at the end of the month to meet back up with our squad and fly out to Romania for our next month of ministry.

Now back to UHC, the World Race has been going since 2006 and is to a point where they have exhausted many of their partners around the world, and so now teams on the field are playing a part in finding new contacts to partner with in the future. The World Race however isn’t looking for just anyone to partner with; they have a specific type of person and ministry in mind, hence the title Unsung Hero.

An Unsung Hero is a person who is:

  • Unsung or unrecognized for their work
  • Working with the Poorest of the Poor
  • With a heart to bring the Kingdom of God

As part of our ministry this month we are using all our resources, from personal contacts, social media, word of mouth, prayer, Google searches and cold calling to find people who may be potential partners for the World Race in the future.

My team has an important role here in Bolivia in helping with the UHC, we are the hands and the feet in the country, we are able to make personal connections with people, build relationships, check out ministries and see first hand who and what is impacting the country in the name of Jesus. All of which is easier here on the field than back in the states.

We are super excited to be partnering ATL with UHC this month, and to see what God can use us to do to further his kingdom.

So please keep my team in your prayers and we spend time here in Bolivia, and if you have any contacts or know of any ministries here in Bolivia that we should check out please let us know. The more information we can collect, the more potential partners we can have, and the bigger impact we can make for Jesus.
