First, I want to say thank you to everyone who has come along side me and supported me in countless ways. Words cannot express how blessed I feel.
Less than 60 days from now I will be getting on a plane, but this journey of mine and God’s has already begun. God has taught me so much about who he is, and what his heart is. He has faithfully brought people along side me to support me finically, emotionally, and spiritually. I have seen him through out it all. He is truly good.
This past Saturday I went on a hike with some friends from college. When we got to the look out there were some rocks a little lower down that you could get as well, I was standing on those rocks looking out at the view. I was the only one at this part of the out look, everyone else had gone to the larger part, but I could hear my them goofing off. I stood there and closed my eyes and the wind started to blow, really blow. I was reminded of the story in 1 Kings 19, Elijah goes on a mountain and experiences a huge wind, But God was not in the wind, an earthquake, and then a fire, and still God was not in either, then a still same voice speaks to him. The Lord spoke to him.
This whole process has been crazy, meeting deadlines trying to get different things made or completed, on top of everything I have to do for school. As I stood there, on the rock, wind blowing my hair everywhere, I was reminded that through all of it God has been there, quietly encouraging me, teaching me, and growing me. He has provided exactly what I needed when I needed it, and he will continue to do so. I was also reminded that I am just a small piece in this plan of God’s, my whole purpose is to bring glory to him. HE does everything. I don’t need to know how, I don’t need to know when, I need to glorify him. Everyday, where ever I am.
“To our God and Father be glory forever ever and ever. Amen.”
Philippians 4:20
