My mom and I grabbed a quick breakfast and grabbed a trike to a lunch meeting we had with all racers, parents, and staff. We debriefed the night before and our experiences so far. One of my friends, Kelly, had an amazing idea!!! She suggested that the World Race girls give up our beds, all cram together, and have empty rooms. It would be incredible because the girls could come right after their shifts ended, sleep in a warm bed, take a hot shower, eat a fresh breakfast, and talk to us more about Wipe Every Tear. After breakfast, Wipe Every Tear has an empty bus take any girls (who choose to do so) out of Angeles City. They go to one of their safe houses and meet the girls who live there and are already in the program, meet the staff, eat lunch, and then go back to Angeles City to make it to their shift on time (some girls ask not to go back, and of course, they don’t have to and are given a bed immediately). Although it sounds ridiculous that they would get dropped back off, it shows that they have complete free will on whether or not they want to join. Wipe Every Tear doesn’t force the girls to do anything- just like God gives us free will.

So, we packed everything up, shoved it all in 2 or 3 rooms and had 6 rooms cleaned, prepared, and decorated with flowers. Before we left for the night, a few of us went from room to room, floor to floor, and worshiped and prayed over each room. Kelly even wrote notes for the girls staying in each room.

We all gathered at the Bella Goose Coffee shop, just like the night before. We had a set plan for everyone to worship, pray, share words, names, prophecies, images, etc. that the Lord was revealing to them, go out, meet at the McDonalds at midnight, and then go out again. So that’s what we did.

When people shared what the Lord was speaking to them, lots of things were said. There were random things like, “a stuffed panda” and “a hello kitty, pink hair tie”, and more serious things like an image of, “a dove sweeping through the streets. spreading peace, 1 john 4, that GOD IS LOVE, that there is no fear in love, and that perfect love drives out fear”.

My group prayed and began going down Walking Street. We saw a clear glass building, one of the only places on the whole street that wasn’t a bar, and it was filled with huge stuffed bears. There were some that kind of looked like panda bears, but not exactly, so we hesitantly gathered and started talking. Next to the bear store, was a bar called Bamboo Bar. We thought “stuffed bears” and “bamboo” that’s kind of close to stuffed panda bears. We looked at the bar, and at the entrance was a few door girls. The one closest to me had her hair pulled back in a pony tail… tied up with a pink hello kitty hair tie. Before I even realized it, my legs had pulled me past her and into the bar.
