You guys are simply amazing. Every second of this journey so far has been answered prayers. To think that I am almost fully funded is CRAZY. Fundraising really causes a whirlwind of emotions and has tempted my faith more than once. With that being said, my faith has grown in numerous ways already and I am so excited for what’s next: TRAINING CAMP!!!! I’ve got all my gear and in 21 days I will get to meet the amazing squad I’ve been talking to for months… I will finally get to grasp a little of what I am about to encounter over these next 9 months.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6
A lot of people ask why I don’t just go to college like everyone else? Why would I want to travel the world for 9 months with people I don’t know yet? Here are some reasons why:
- I am excited to grow life-long friendships with the amazing people on my squad.
- I am excited to say yes to things I think are weird.
- I am excited to be comfortable in the uncomfortable.
- I am excited to be pushed out of my comfort zone.
- I am excited to meet all these beautiful people and see how God works in them during our 9 months together.
- I am excited for my faith to grow.
- I am excited to see God working in ways I can’t even imagine.
- I AM EXCITED!!
Yes, I will miss everyone here in Kansas but this is going to one heck of a life changing 9 months and I’m hyped. Thank you to everyone who has helped me financially or has been praying for my squad and me. You really mean the world to me and I couldn’t do this without you. With that being said, I ask for continued prayers as I head to training camp in July and then launch in September.
