I’m doing the World Race!
This is the most exciting and scary thing I have ever decided to do, but I am so ready for this, I can’t wait for 2017!
If you don’t know what the World Race is, it’s an 11 month long missions trip that takes you to 11 different countries. You spend one month in each country, and I am headed out to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Swaziland, Mozambique, Madagascar, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Mongolia, and China.
So, why am I doing something that might seem totally crazy? My answer is I love Jesus, and I want to tell the world about him!
When I left Liberty last year after only being a student there for one year, I wasn’t sure what to do with my life. I came home, got a job, searched for a home for six months, and continued to just work and have a social life. I wasn’t looking to continue to further my education yet, but I felt like I needed something more in life.
That’s when I started looking into the World Race. I had looked into it when I was a student, but put it off since you know, I was a student! So, I applied and interviewed, and I got accepted! I cannot tell you the excitement that I felt when I got the call to say I was accepted to the race. I can’t describe it, it was like “wow, God asked me to do this, and now I’m really doing it?”
So, I have of course told my immediate circle of friends and family, but I am so excited to share it with everyone else in my life, and of course anyone I don’t know who is willing to listen to my story!
Right now I am working on the steps I have to take in preparation for this journey. If you would, I appreciate any and all prayers! Words of encouragement are also appreciated, and or course sponsorship if you are able!
