I just wanted to give you all a quick update on what my last month looks like! My team, along with two others, are living in a small village about an hour and a half outside of Phnom Penh. Our ministry at this point involves teaching English to the village children as well as doing yard work at a church.
Our living conditions are pretty rough, especially as I have lived in the city the last three months. Its incredibly hot, but we are blessed to have some fans to put in our tents to keep us cool, especially at night. The village is absolutely gorgeous, with palm trees everywhere and some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen! The cows roam free, and the children swarm us to play and love. It’s a simple life, and I love it. I feel so blessed to be ending the Race in a village like this!
I will be arriving in Los Angeles on May 29th, where I will be spending a couple of weeks with my sister and Nanna before heading to Utah for a couple of weeks with my grandparents. I will then spend a few days in Atlanta with my squad. Finally, I will be flying back to Los Angeles to drive home to Washington. I hope to be back in Anacortes around the 4th of July.
At this point, I would like to ask for prayers as I finish off the race and begin to transition back into America. I want to stay fully focused on ministry for the rest of this month, and I think living in such a rural place will help me greatly. I also want to transition well back into America, not forgetting all the things I’ve seen and learned this year. I know God has big things in store for me in the coming months and years, and I want to be in a place that is ready to recieve and walk in those things.
I will probably have limited access to the internet over the next couple of weeks, but if you have any questions about my last month on the Race, what’s next in America, or really anything at all, feel free to get in touch with me! I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
