I remember before I left for Guatemala, I told about 15 different people the same thing. “I’m going to Guatemala for three months. If the Lord calls me to stay longer, I will. BUT I really don’t think thats going to happen.” Here I am, two and a half months later, and my time is almost up. My three month commitment finishes at the beginning of September. But I know now that the Lord has so much more for me in this place. This place is still my home, its still where He’s calling me.

I guess everyone else knew something I didn’t, because as I’ve shared that I’m called here longer, I’ve heard the same response, time and again. “I knew three months wouldn’t be long enough. I knew you’d stretch out your time.”

As I’ve prayed into what this next season will look like, I keep getting the word ‘more.’ The Lord has taken me to such greater depths in the last two and a half months, and He has more. He has taught me such great things, and He wants to teach me more. He has given me great revelations of His love, and He wants to give me more. I’ve surrendered so much of myself, and He wants me to surrender more.

This last weekend, we spent a couple of days attending Ensancha, one of the biggest Christian conferences in Latin America. We heard from some incredible speakers and got to worship the Lord with thousands of other believers. One of the speakers at the conference was Heidi Baker, a well-known missionary in Mozambique. I could touch on so many things that she shared at the conference, but I’ll rest on one.

(Heidi speaking at the conference)

At the end of her talk, Heidi invited onto the stage people who feel called to be life-long missionaries. We watched as dozens of people came forward to receive prayer and anointing to be sent to the Nations, by a woman who carries the spiritual authority to anoint them. Our base here is a sending base. We are about discipling Guatemalans to be sent to the Nations. Its no accident that we watched as dozens of Guatemalans surrendered their hearts and lives to be sent.

This is just one of the many things the Lord is doing at the base here in Guatemala. I’m so honored to call this place home and to call these people family!

I have lengthened my time commitment, and I am set to stay in Guatemala through the end of the year now. If God calls me for longer, I will stay longer. But I cannot do this alone. I cannot stay in this place without the support and the encouragement of my community back home, in Anacortes, in Gainesville, and across the rest of America.

In order to stay, I need funds. I need to have $3,800 either donated or pledged to be donated in the next two weeks. I need people to rally around the vision the Lord has given me for these next few months. I believe from the tips of my toes to the top of my head that this is where the Lord has called me. I know that this is a large amount of money to raise in a short amount of time, but I wholeheartedly believe that the Lord is going to provide.

If just 16 people pledged to donate $50 a month, I would be fully funded.

If you feel led to donate to me financially, there are a couple of ways to do that. You can make a one-time donation by clicking ‘support me’ on the left side of this page. Then follow the directions given. If you woul like to make a one time donation by check, you can do that as well. Make out the check to ‘Adventures in Missions’ and write my name, ‘Katie McNeil’ in the memo line. Then mail the check to ‘Adventures in Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA, 30374-2570.

If you would like to pledge to donate monthly, there are two ways to do that! You can visit www.adventures.org/dynapay and fill out the attached form. If you would prefer to donate by check, you can mail a check each month to the address listed above. If you decide to become a monthly donor, please contact me and let me know so that I can keep track of pledged donations.

If you are interested in helping me spread the word, to your friends, family, coworkers, church bodies, etc, please let me know! I can provide you with more information on what I am doing as well as even make a short video clip introducing myself!

Thank you for your continued support, encouragement and financial donations. Without you, I wouldn’t be here.
