Any World Racer heading to training camp knows that one of the most exciting things to happen during the week is getting split into teams! Your team is your family. H squad as a whole is one big, huge, extended family, but our teams our our immediate family for the Race. However, teams aren’t just formed at the drop of a hat. There is a long process involved, and my amazing team is a testament to the hard work and prayer poured into this process.

So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Team Theophilus! First, I’ll explain a bit of the meaning behind our name. We were asked to name our team something meaningful and prophetic, which unfortunately immediately ruled out my idea of Team Autobots (ha!). But the name Theophilus was suggested and we all were on board with it. Luke addressed both the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts to a man named Theophilus. The books were written as a testament to the power of Jesus Christ, the need for salvation, and the incredible works of the Holy Spirit. Specifically, the book of Luke was meant to present an unfiltered account of the Gospel of Jesus, to discount any false teachings being presented. As a team, we felt that that really fit with our goals for our ministry.
TEAM LEADER!
Georgia Dewey

I have gotten to know Georgia pretty dang well over the last few months, and she is an absolute crack up. But more than that, she is an incredible woman of God. She has a huge heart and I couldn’t pick a better person to lead this team. I am so excited to watch her grow and blossom over the next year!
TEAM TREASURER!
Jillian Mangoni

Jillian has the greatest smile. She is a guitar player like me and I have a feeling we will be enjoying that a lot together! To be honest, I knew her the least out of everyone in our team when we came together, but I love her so much already and cannot wait to get to know her better over the year!
SQUAD LOGISTICS
KJ Blair

KJ has an infectious positive attitude about him. He’s always singing and dancing and I think that will be something our whole team can enjoy over the next year! He has a huge heart for missions and for helping people. After the World Race, he is going to med school to hopefully become a medical missionary. I know the world will be blessed by that!
Courtney Condon

Courtney is just plain awesome. She’s got a great sense of humor and we laugh together all the time. We shared some amazing conversations this week and it was incredible to watch her grow throughout our time at camp. I have been so blessed by her thus far and can’t wait to serve alongside her!
Travis Verdin

Travis is the other amazing guy on our squad. He immediately showed us his heart to be a protector for the ladies on our team, which spoke a lot about him as a person and a brother. He also led our team into our first ministry opportunity which I am so excited to share with you all in my NEXT blog!
Em Diehl

I have talked to Em a ton over the last few months and we have gotten to know each other quite well, so I am really excited to be on the same team. I feel like she will definitely balance out our craziness, even though she gets crazy herself. She has incredible words to speak and is not afraid to call out the greatness in every person she encounters. She is so easy going which I really appreciate.
So there you have it! Please follow the blogs from each and every one of these amazing people! I am so excited and blessed to be given the opportunity to serve alongside them, and I believe deeply in the calling of each and every one of them!
