It’s Friday morning in Trujillo, Peru. We are having a wrap up meeting about the end of our month in Peru and finding out what we will be doing next month in Bolivia. At first we are told to go find slips of paper with clues that will help us find our new groups. At this moment everyone’s tummies drop. Team changes are the first things that come to mind. Nonetheless, we continue with the game.

Once we are finally in three groups—realizing these couldn’t be our teams. We are given a riddle and told to find an envelope. Another gut wrenching moment. More uncertainty. More possibilities for team changes. After all three groups solve their riddles and find their envelopes we are allowed to open them.

Puzzle Pieces. What in the world?! It has to be too early for team changes!

As we begin to put our puzzles together, we begin to realize that there really weren’t team changes; but rather team combinations. It’s Manistry month.

Manistry month is a month when all the guys are together on one team and the women, who once had men, are now combined into one team. This month is meant for the boys to bro out and just be with men, which doesn’t happen very often. Something I’ve come to realize is that this month is just as much for the women on co-ed teams too.

After we realized it wasn’t really team changes we were soo anxious to find out what we would be doing this month. It just happens that, that was on the underside of our puzzle. Finally we were able to turn it over and it says, “UH-Santiago (Chile)!” Wait! What?! Not Bolivia?!

Nope, no Bolivia for us this month! The Lord has called us to Chile. We are here in Santiago, seeking out new ministry contacts for Adventures in Missions to send teams in the future. This month is going to be such a challenging and awesome month because I personally struggle discerning the Lord’s voice from my own thoughts. We are told this month to ask him what to do, who to talk to, where to go and really just allow him to completely control the month.

This is hard for me already. We won’t always know where we will sleep, how we will travel, or where we will even be in the days to come. All we know is that the Lord is going to use us in ways we never knew possible.

I ask for you as my supporters to truly pray for this month and the women I am with. Pray for the Lord to speak to us and for us to truly know it is his voice. Pray for our safety, and that we will always feel his presence. Pray that we will find amazing contacts for AIM and that the Lord truly moves in our lives this!

Stay tuned to hear about how He answers those prayers and what He does in our lives this month!!
