One word can have so many different meanings. I asked the squadmates that I live with to give me one word to describe their World Race experience so far. Starting this, I thought it’d just be a cool blog to write, but I hope it helped them to evaluate where they’re at right now. Hearing their explanations for their word and what it meant to them gave me a better understanding of that person, and I can take that single word and apply it to my life. Am I walking out what God has given me? Am I being intentional with my ministry? Am I thanking God for the uncomfortableness rather than cursing Him? Am I putting others and God above myself?
When living on the field for this long, there are times where it just becomes normal, a routine, and it’s hard to be intentional in your life about why you’re here. I mean this happens in America too. Probably more often. But I think God asked me to write out this list of 17 single words for it to be a constant reminder to evaluate how you are furthering His kingdom every day. Use this to evaluate where you are right now. I pray that God would reveal something amazing to you. I pray that He would show what these words mean to you. I pray that in this coming year you would experience the Lord in so many new ways.
