The word for me this month has been all about LOVE.

We changed into new teams, so we have been learning how to love each other well. We taught the staff at the English Center and showed them love and kindness. Our ministry hosts poured into us and loved us in such a generous way. God loves each one of us in abundance.

My favorite memory in Vietnam was when we got to teach the kids about love.

My teammate Kylie and I got to teach a few different age groups, from 5 years old to 15 year olds.  We had to be sneaky in how we talk about Jesus, so what better way than to talk about love! With the younger kids, we talked about who we love and how we should love everybody. In the older classes, we got into a great discussion about what love is and what the bible says in 1 Corinthians. In the middle of our talk one of the students asked if Jesus was real. What a great question to start sharing the gospel!! We used our discussion of love to talk about why we celebrate Christmas and the birth of Jesus. We answered questions about who Jesus is and that the bible is full of stories about Him. We only spent a few minutes talking about this but I knew that seeds were being planted during that discussion. I was reminded that every single moment is special and can be used to share the gospel and glorify God.

Even in a closed country, where we have to be careful about what and where and who we talk to, God is still there and allows these conversations happen. He is stirring up something in the hearts of these kids that makes them want to ask questions about Him. It is such a beautiful thing.

 GOD is LOVE.

“If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:12-14)

I am currently in the Singapore airport waiting to board my plane to ETHIOPIA!! These past 5 months in Asia have been filled with so much love, growth, challenges and amazing ministries and experiences! I am so excited to see what happens these 2 months that we are in Africa. Thanks for all of the texts, emails, thoughts and prayers-they mean the world to me!!!
