We back ladies and gentlemen! The past few months have been a wild ride, but I am ready to head to Cambodia and Thailand! I fly to Georgia this Saturday for a week of training and then my squad flies to Cambodia!
It has been bittersweet packing up for this round because I’m not sure when I’m coming back…
After my squad finishes the trip in Thailand and heads back to the USA, I won’t be flying back with them. Instead, I’m flying to Nepal! Hollaaaa
If anyone doesn’t know, I got engaged this December to my Nepali host from the World Race. My team lived with him and his family for the month we lived in Nepal. It’s a whole long story of how the Lord brought us together, but boy am I excited. His name is Gresom, he is 23, he’s a musician and pastor and has a huge heart to share the Gospel with the world, especially Nepal. Basically, I think he is the coolest person in the world…duh.
Alas, I will be flying straight to Nepal after Thailand, so these are my last days in the USA for a while! I’ve been gorging myself on Chickfila, burritos, and brownies and hugging all my friends and family extra tight.
Once I get to Nepal, I will be there for about a month before we getting married on May 24th! If any of you happen to be in the area or find a pile of cash and wanna buy a plane ticket, please come!
Gresom and I plan on living full-time in Nepal and doing ministry together. We also hope to come to the States at some point after we get married so you can meet him (and so I can force feed him Chickfila, burritos, and brownies).
But that’s all in the future. For now, I am so excited for the next three months of squad leading, learning more about Asian culture, and sharing the Gospel. I can’t wait to meet the 12 girls on my squad next week! I also have a co-leader named Hannah Busch who is pretty stellar. You can check her blog out here: https://hannahbusch.theworldrace.org/
Also, PRAISE THE LORD I only need $700.00 until I am fully funded! Thank you all so much for supporting me financially and in your prayers! I love love love you big time. I will try to be better about posting blogs the next few months!
BYE!
