The beginning of May marks just half a year until I leave for the World Race! To celebrate, I thought I’d run a half marathon…lol jk…kinda. Running a half marathon has been on my bucket list for a while now, and at the beginning of 2018 I had the realization that I’m not getting any younger, and I might as well just go for it while I can! I’ve been training for about 4 months now…and by training I mean actually following a training plan for about 2 months, getting up to running 8 miles, and then “tapering off” for the remaining 2 months.

Anyway, ready or not, I’m running the Frederick Half Marathon tomorrow (Sunday, May 6) beginning at 7 AM. I plan on running my little heart out until I either cross the finish line or collapse on the side of the road.

I’m running it by myself, and was thinking about how I’m going to pass the time. One of my favorite times to pray is while I’m running, so I thought what better way to spend the 13.1 miles.

Tomorrow I will be lifting up the World Race in prayer, and I invite you to join me.

I plan on praying for a different country each mile. Here’s the breakdown:

Mile 1: Columbia

Mile 2: Ecuador

Mile 3: Peru

Mile 4: Bolivia

Mile 5: Argentina

Mile 6: India

Mile 7: Nepal

Mile 8: Armenia

Mile 9: Georgia

Mile 10: Bulgaria

Mile 11: Albania

Mile 12: My team and I as we prepare throughout the next 6 months.

Mile 13: Let’s be honest. If I make it this far, I’m just going to be praying I finish.

For each country I am praying for their governments, churches, people, ministries we will serve, and that God would begin preparing the hearts of the people we come in contact with to receive the Gospel.

I will also be praying for my team as we prepare mentally, physically, and spiritually.

If you have a spare minute or two tomorrow, please join me in covering the World Race with prayer.

Also, I’m 61% fundraised, so PRAISE Jesus for that, and T-shirts from the T-shirt fundraiser have been ordered and should be here next week!! WAHOOOOOO

Much love,

Katie
