This week in Jamaica as my group and I were evangelizing, we decided to stop, pray, and ask the Lord to reveal to us words or visions that would lead us throughout our day. After praying individually, we all shared with one another what the Lord showed us. While I was praying, I saw a purple flower with a yellow center. One of my other teammates also saw a yellow flower on red fabric and a window. Crazy enough our third member also saw a vision of red fabric! Though it seemed silly at first, we went on our way keeping an eye open for anything that met these specific details.

None of us had really prayed like this before so we were skeptical, but decided to be obedient and hopeful that the Lord would make it clear to us. As we made our way across town, we came across a quaint little house. While walking by, we noticed red curtains in the window. As we walked closer, we noticed they had purple flowers with a yellow center on them! This was no coincidence. We decided to knock on the door, but no one was home. A little disappointed, we prayed for the home and left a note hopeful that the owner would receive it and be encouraged.

The next day another group was evangelizing in the same area and noticed the man was home! After talking with him, they discovered that Joshua is a believer in the Lord, who was struggling to make ends meet. His faith was so strong and encouraging despite all he was going through. Since he also sees visions, Joshua was sure that the Lord had sent us there to encourage him and he broke down in tears telling us his story.

Two days later my team and I decided to return to check on him and to bring him lunch before he headed off to work.Though we had gone to encourage him in his walk with the Lord, I left feeling even more encouraged by him. He had so little, yet, he trusted in the Lord to provide and still gave to others with a generous heart.

This is the kind of story that makes it all worth it. Thank you Lord for being faithful and using our obedience to glorify you!
