Hey ya’ll! Sorry this update has taken me so long to get out, I’ve been trying to get adjusted to everything. Haiti is amazing! We got here last Thursday and I absolutely love our ministry host. This month, my team is partnering with an organization called Mission of Hope and I would recommend them to anyone! They do a little bit of everything such as feeding programs, orphan care, education, medical clinics, providing clean water, and evangelism. What I really love about them though is that they are empowering and training the Haitian people to take on most of the job positions instead of having all the North Americans do it for them. In the couple days that we have been here, we were able to provide several families in the villages with fruit trees, solar lights, and goats, we played with the school kids, and did door to door evangelism. Although evangelism is definitely something that was way out of my comfort zone before starting the World Race, it has probably been one of my favorite things so far. Being able to go into the communities and really get to know the people has been so much fun. In Haiti, pretty much everyone has heard the name of Jesus but few accept Him as their one and only Savior. A popular saying here is that the people are 90 percent Catholic and 100 percent Voodoo. This is an aspect of the Haitian culture that I have become interested in learning more about.
As for how God is moving in my life personally… I don’t even know where to start. Every day has been a new lesson. It’s a little overwhelming I’ll be honest but I can already see how God is transforming my life, even if it’s not as fast as I would like. Some specific things I am currently focusing on is being more disciplined and balanced with my time and finding my identity in the Lord rather than others.

- For the Lord to soften and renew my heart
- For the health of my team and squad
- For the country of Haiti (job opportunities, health, and education for kids)
- For discipline and focus
