One of the biggest struggles I have
had with accepting this trip is the thought of all the money I have to raise.
If you know me, you know that asking people for money is and will be a huge thing
for me. I have always been the one giving the money instead of asking for it,
and I much prefer it that way. As I was reading the Bible one morning this
week, I ‘just happened’ to be reading in 2nd Chronicles 20:15. The
spirit of the Lord comes upon the prophet Jahaziel and says this: “Do not be
afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army (fundraising) for the battle
is not yours but God’s. But you will not even need to fight. Take your
positions; then stand still and watch the Lords victory. Believe in the Lord
your God and you will stand firm.” I know that God has placed this mission trip
on my heart, and He wants’ me on it. I just have to keep standing fim and reminding myself of
this promise.
