As some of my
supporters have recently mentioned, it’s been a while since I have updated you
on my finances. I am so thankful to have met my December deadline of $6500,
thanks to the gracious support of all of you. Because of this goal being met I
am ready to launch January 8th, 2013. I already have my one way
plane ticket booked to Washington DC, ahhhhh.

As it is for
most ‘racers’ fundraising has been one of my least favorite things about this
trip. It has discouraged me so many times in the past. But I have come to
realize time and time again, it is not about me, there is no possible way that
I can raise that much money by myself. I have a God sized task in front of me,
and if God doesn’t help me I will fail.

Something the
pastor brought out in his sermon last night was Numbers
11:23 ‘Is the Lords arm too short? You will see now whether or not what I say
will come true for you.’
Is the Lord’s arm too short? $8000. I’m
freaking out about $8000, which is absolutely nothing for
the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills Ps 50:10.

I’ve been rereading
my ‘Experiencing God’ bible study by Henry Blackaby this morning, which is the
bible study I was doing when I accepted the call to go on The World Race.  Blackaby mentions a few key things about
faith. When God speaks, your response requires faith.  Faith is confidence that what God promised or
said will come to pass. Faith is believing that the God who called me to the assignment
was the One would provide for the accomplishment.

My next deadline
is due 4/1/2013 and I need $3800 more to meet that deadline.  In total, I need $8000 to be fully funded. It
would be such a huge relief if I could be fully funded by the time I leave.
That way, I could focus all my time and attention on the field and the ministries
that I will be working with. Please continue to pray for me and my team and
that the finances will continue to flow in. And if you feel so led, please feel
free to hit the support me button on the side
