We are in Israel! This is an amazing and beautiful country. The food is great, the people are nice (and often speak English), and getting to walk through the pages of the Bible is amazing. God has blessed Team Fanatic this month by giving us great “Friends” this month. We are staying with a “friend” for the first two weeks this month in Jerusalem. We are volunteering at a soup kitchen and checking out the city. Our “friend” has a broken foot so he is unable to show us around but we have been praying nightly for his foot and have seen vast improvements in his walking. He is an Orthodox Jew, by far one of the smartest men I have met on the Race, and has the cutest kids ever. He is teaching us so much about the Jewish faith, the Torah, and the Bible. This Friday at sundown until Saturday at sundown, he is going to celebrate Shabbat. We are all reading the portion of the Torah for this week’s reading and we are going to discuss it over Shabbat dinner. Every night this week we have discussed with our new “friend” something from the reading that we have already done. He is really intelligent and knows what he is talking about. We are really blessed to get to stay here with him and learn from him.

Month five, the beginning of the end. In 12 days we will be halfway done with the Race. It is hard to believe that the Race is basically halfway over. It seems like it just began. Ireland, Moldova, Serbia, Turkey, and now Israel, this must be a dream. I just wanted to thank everyone that has supported me through this journey. Without the prayers and the support money this trip for me would not be possible. Thank you all so much. I am still a little bit under my goal for the entire amount for the Race. If you feel that God has placed it on your heart to help spread His Kingdom, please click on the “Support Me” button on the left side of this webpage. I ask that God blesses your holiday season with your families and friends
