In 58 days I will be on American soil! This is the most bizzare thought that I have ever had. In the beginning of this trip I never thought that the day would come when our squad leaders would call us in and say “Ok, we are going home on June 29th.” I actually never wanted this day to happen. In Ireland I was completely excited that my team was amazing. After teams changes happened and I became part of Team Fanatic, I was so excited that my team was amazing. K squad has been through so much together. We are a ridiculous group of people that are sold out for Jesus. We have made it through Eastern Europe, the MIddle East, Africa, and now we are spread the Good News in Southeast Asia. But some may say that this is where our journey will end, and they may be correct if they are talking about this particular trip but I say this is just the beginning of a lifetime of ministry for everyone on K squad.
We can look back on this year and think about all the crazy modes of travel that we have had (camel, train, plane, cars, bike, vespa), or the strange places we have slept, or the funny travel days that we have all experienced this last year, but nothing compares to the blessings that God has poured out on us ALL YEAR LONG!!!
I never expected this year to impact me as much as it has. I thank God everyday that He has given me the most amazing family back home and the most amazing family to experience this journey with. This year has forever changed me. I am sold out for Jesus and I am wrecked for the ordinary.
I am excited about these next two months. I know that God has something really HUGE for us in the next 58 days. Get ready K squad because God has spent the last ten months preparing us for these next two.
