We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on the mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting…
I don’t really know what to expect on this trip. All I know is that God has made it very evident that I am suppose to go on this trip. Here are some hopes that I have:
I hope:
That I make amazing lifelong friends.
That God makes me step outside of my comfort zone.
That I am broken and built up in Him.
That I get to invest in at least one persons life and make a difference for them.
That I miss my family and come back with a new appreciatation for them.
That I appreciate showers more than ever.
That I recognize that this trip is not about me at all.
That I get to cry with a prostitute
That I will be scared to preach…but doing it
That I finally understand freedom in Christ
That I have a deeper understanding of God’s creation
That I get to shout from the rooftops that He reigns!!!
These are just some things that I have been thinking and praying about. I am very excited about this trip and I know God has a great plan for me and my soon-to-be-team. DO WORK!!!
