So Team Benkadi along with Team JoHoLo has arrived in Serbia!  This month we are having an Ask the Lord month.  We are spending half the month in Belgrade (the capital) and the other half of the month in Nis (pronounced Nish).  We basically get to represent The World Race and find new contacts in Serbia for more World Racers to come in and help.  I never thought that I would ever end up in Serbia but here I am and God is doing such amazing things here.  We have already made contacts and friends with many people and we are staying in really awesome hostel that could probably be on MTV Cribs.  We have experienced several churches here and have gotten to invest some time in the people that live here.  Everyone here is so nice and welcoming.  A lot of people also speak English which makes things for us a little more simpler.  These people are hungry but they just don’t know what they want to eat.
But enough about where I am, the purpose for this blog was a challenge for anyone who reads it.  So here it is…
Grace.  Grace is what I have been experiencing on this race.  Grace from God, grace from teammates, and even grace from complete strangers. While my teammates and I have gotten the opportunity to get to know each extremely well, we have also gotten the opportunity to get to know two others teams really well in the last two months.  Team Beautiful Feet in Moldova and Team JoHoLo here in Serbia.  Grace comes into play when you have really gotten to know one anothers stories and you understand where each other is coming from.  Investing that time in one another makes the other person feel like you turly care about them and in turn you have more grace for that person.  The feelings of frustration, irritation, and bitterness seem to go away when you understand where that person is coming from.  So I challenge you to be intentional with someone that you don’t know very well or someone that frustrates you and get to know their story.  I promise that it will change your perspective on that relationship.  After all, isn’t what this whole life is about…loving people and loving God?
I want to thank everyone that has supported me through prayer and through financial support.  The World Race has financial goals that are set for us every month.  I have reached all of them so far but I am writing because on November 1st I have to meet another goal.  I need about $2,000 more dollars to be at this goal.  So if God is putting it on your heart to help further His Kingdom please consider helping in this way.  You can support me by clicking the “Support Me” button in the lefthand side on the page.  Thank you so much.  I love you all.
