I got a really good laugh in when I heard that we’d be teaching a computer class for Bible school in Nepal.  I am not good with computers and I for sure don’t find them exciting.  Day one of computer class we discovered that a number of the students don’t speak much English and have very little experience with a computer.  The students attending this Bible school have come from villages all over Nepal where email and Facebook don’t exist.  It has been challenging teaching this class and each day class involves hitting brick walls, but it has been fun.  The students are excited to be learning all this new technology stuff.  We have successfully gotten them all addicted to Facebook (haha). They laugh about sending each other emails in class.  It is exciting to be able to work with these people who are preparing to be church leaders in their towns and villages.  Young adults who are eager to spread the love of God to others around Nepal.  We have been blessed to help equip them in that.

We have been given a second opportunity for ministry outside the computer class.  Next week we will head northwest into the mountains to Lamjung.  We will then trek from village to village, sharing the gospel along the way.  My team has stocked up on the cheap “Northface” gear that can be found all over Kathmandu since none of us brought cold weather gear and now we are ready to go.  I’m looking forward to getting out of the city for a bit and into the great outdoors.  Our guide says that we will be able to enjoy some breathtaking views of Annapurna along the way.  It’s going to be a great last week in Nepal!
