Risky eh?… lets define risky…
Hebrews 11:8 says by faith, Abraham when called to go to a place where he would later receive his inheritance obeyed and went, even though he didn’t know where he was going.
um what??
Abraham moved out on the knowledge of God’s promised blessings. That’s it. Is that enough for you?
Abraham believed he would deliver. Do you believe the same?
He didn’t know where he was going but God did.
When Abraham received his call he did not receive elaborate interactions or directions.
I called Abraham crazy.
Then I realized… the destination was not as important as whom he was following.
1 more thing…
Abraham moved out.
Have you made your move??
Faith isn’t just talked about! It involves actions!
One crucial question demands an answer. “If faith is so great. Why do you many people not live it?” An important reason is that most people would rather do anything then take a risk. Pause before you jump to defend yourself. Taking Risks means being vulnerable. And that may affect your finances, your friends, your further planned out for yourself (that may i remind you is nothing in comparison to what God has planned for you), your feelings, your occupation and where you reside but all you have right here is you thinking about you.
Ill just chill and let you ponder on that one.
My team and I… we are taking risks… big ones. We are in our vulnerability so strong in Christ. We friends… are making moves. Join us! In YOUR way!!
Something i have noticed in all of my mission travel is that.. as Americans it can be quiet hard to really see what living life out in faith real means. What some see as being too risky and others see as saying a prayer and moving on “with faith”. What I mean is… the people that we meet on missions literally have nothing… Can you say that we live out lives out totally by faith? or do we if we put our faith put into our wallets? No no… we do. Imagine no wallet. Imagine no home. Imgine no family. Now where is your faith? I’m not telling you to quit your job, stop paying your mortgage, call the street home and kill all of your family members but I am asking you what God is asking you to leave to insure that you are living your life out in faith in Him. Believe me… its liberating.
The human tendency is to want to be safe and secure to insure ourselves against loss. WE create this safety bubble… why don’t we let God keep us safe… let Him decide what we need. Haha doesn’t he know?… He made us…
Basically we fail at faith because we fear to risk! Heyyyoooo
That eats me up… because often times I catch myself saying something like well… if I have anything I have faith… but yet… have I risked anything? Have I done anything for Him that would need any faith at all?? Have I taken any steps? Not did I pray and have faith in a tough situation but have I intentionally trusted in Him for something.
Well.. I want to live a “risky life” if thats what it entails.
With faith a life with risk isn’t all that risky
So.. I go on the World Race…
Your eyes see risky.. my eyes see ready.. whiling… faithful…
