When starting to write my bio I was inspired by the song “audience of one.” The song speaks my heart. It paints a story of compassion, love, and humility. It’s truly beautiful. I want my life story to be just a beautiful as that song. I want my life to reflect compassion, love, and humility. Before I introduced the details of my life I wanted you to meet my heart. It is the driving force behind everything I do, making it the most important part of me. My heart is happy you are here.
On February 14th 1984 a baby Sullivan was born. That baby was named Katie, and that Katie is me. I am blessed with an amazing family, who accepted the awesome challenge of raising me. I am told that my outbursts in uncontrollable laughter, my love for cultural experiences, my fondness for all things sparkly and my ability to make fun of myself are all learned… but I know better. I want to thank my mom for giving me her laughter, my sister for introducing me to a different world, my dad for making me his princess and my brother… for making me laugh at all my imperfections! I live an amazing life… filled with amazing people. I am SO blessed!
My story is somewhat simple. It’s made great by God and the people He has put in my path. I was raised in a Christian home and have loved every minute of it. I know now that I took being surrounded by a love infested community for granted. Through volunteer work and some summer missions trips my eyes became opened to a world past my family and friends. It saddens my heart that there are people out there that need someone to love them.
In England, on a Discipleship Training School, I raised my hand and said “YES!” to God when he asked me if I would be willing to set aside my agenda and share “the Love.” I am so excited about this opportunity to share my stories of how God is going to show His love while being on The World Race.
