This month Kiatera and the g:racers are spending weekday afternoons at an orphanage here in Phnom Penh called Happy Tree.
The 90 children who live there, ranging in ages from 1 to about 14, are all HIV+.
None have full-blown AIDS yet but their diagnosis, of course, is irreversible.
Lindsay had a brilliant idea to basically do a “vacation Bible school” (minus the vacation; these kids have different lives….) with the kids for the next two weeks, with Bible stories, crafts to go along with them, a somewhat healthy snack and games.
We had a blast this afternoon during the first round! I’ll keep you updated, and check out my teammate’s blogs as well, to see how it goes.
