A’ight I’m gonna give a quick update just to fill everyone in.
WE’RE FINALLY GOING TO AFRICA!!! WOOHOO!!!
Yep. Thailand protesters are finally a distant memory, and we’re boarding a flight to Africa (wow! I’m actually writing that! simply amazing) …really though, I’m super-excited to be on the way. Many of my friends and family have been to Africa for various reasons…now I’m going to see, smell, taste, feel and sweat it myself. 🙂 It’s gonna be a shocker to head to an African summer after a British winter, but hey, we’ll survive. “TIA” means “This Is Africa” and that’s the simple explanation for any change of plan, interesting circumstance/food/transportation/etc etc that we may encounater. So….Let the TIA’s roll!
The plan is to head to Mozambique first to participate in church-planting ministry for a few weeks. Then we’ll head back to South Africa for debrief and a safari (woohoo!), then to Swaziland for the AIM Vision trip, then to either Swazi or Malawi and then switch for a month of ministry in each country.
Also…this probably means a slow-down of blogging, photos and videos. Have no fear, I will surely shoot my heart out with my beloved Canon Powershot S5 IS, with photos and videos!…But you may not see most of that material until long after we leave…from what I know of Africa the internet isn’t the *most* reliable OR fast. 🙂 I’ll keep blogging/writing but there may not be visuals alongside. 🙁
