It all started about eight months ago in the middle of the World Race. God put this idea in my heart to apply to lead an Adventures in Missions Real Life trip for the fall.

So I applied.

Now I’m going to INDIA for three months.

In about a month I’ll head down to the AIM offices in Gainesville, Georgia for leader’s training, training camp with my college-age team and my co-leader. Then, we’ll fly to Delhi on September 13.

As I prepare to leave the country again after being home for under three months, I know God is going to do big things this fall. He is going to break the hearts of my team for what breaks His heart. He is going to awaken them to His Kingdom. He is going to use them to love the unloved, reach the unreached, serve the unserved. He is going to touch hearts through them that wouldn’t otherwise be touched. He is going to call the names of the lost, using the voices of my team.

We are the voice. He is the Word.

In short, it’s going to be freaking incredible.

I am so excited to step up as a leader for this trip. I know the Lord has given me something to say to this team. I know He is going to challenge me in many new ways this fall. He is going to continue breaking me in new ways, opening my eyes to the kingdoms of this world, revealing His Kingdom ways in them.

I currently have NO financial support needs, thanks be to God! He provided abundantly for the World Race, and as it stands right now I will not need anymore! (How cool is that?)

What I AM asking for is your continued prayers during these next four months. I still feel so freshly back in the country and I’m already preparing to leave again! Some call me crazy. I just think I’m addicted to following God…WHEREVER He leads. So, please pray that I’ll feel fully rested and be able to finish my to-do list in the next month. Pray for my heart as I prepare to lead this team with my co-leader (introduction to her later, when I know her myself!) Pray for my team that the Lord would be preparing them for three months of Kingdom craziness, amazing adventure, heartbreak, brokenness, and invasions of pure love and joy.

More to come soon. Love. Oh, and the video below was made by my friend and incredibly talented photographer, Matt Powell. It’s a glimpse of the beautiful children of India….whom I can’t wait to meet.  (The video was made for Samaritan’s Purse–I am not going to be working with them–but loved the video anyways).
