Thank you all for following me on my journey on the World Race! It’s been a wild and crazy ride, and I still can’t believe that I am about to start month six. Here are some pictures and tidbits from my life here in Malawi for the past two months. I only have one more month here until I ship off to Guatemala.
My ministry in Malawi has been door-to-door evangelism. The main thing we do is talk to people and hear their stories, and tell them about Jesus.
Here’s my new team! Introducing: Team Lit! From left to right, we have Janelle, Meagan, Hayden, Taylor, our Squad Leader Casey, Me, and Olivia. I’m so excited and honored to be on a team with these incredible ladies.
Sometimes in the middle of ministry you see some sunflowers…and you have to take a picture next to them.
Sometimes we get to do some children’s ministry in Malawi. This includes Bible skits (including an amazing rendition of Noah’s Ark, if I do say so myself,) silly songs, playing games, and dancing like nobody’s business.
One week, three team mates and I had the opportunity to climb the highest peak in Malawi! Hayden and I only made it about halfway…but we were really proud of Meagan and Olivia who made it up!
Once a Nebraskan, always a Nebraskan. Found some corn (and a Floridan) in Malawi.
Swimming in Lake Malawi during a Sunset Boat Tour while at Debrief. Love these girls!
This girl right here is such a blessing. I thank the Lord everyday that I have someone as sweet, kind, hilarious, and fun on my squad with me. Although we’re not on the same team, I know I have found a forever friend in Shara K.
While on the sailboat during our sunset boat cruise at Debrief. This was a memory I won’t forget!
While at Debrief, we got the opportunity to go snorkeling in Lake Malawi, and have a boat tour around the Lake while watching eagles soar through the sky. I took the chance to stand on the edge of the boat to watch it all happen.
Other updates: I now only have to raise $800 more until I am FULLY FUNDED! I ask that you prayerfully consider donating financially to keep me on this incredible, life-changing journey. Just click “HERE!” to keep me on the field! Thanks all!
