Sawadee kha!

This month we are partnering with Lighthouse in Action, a ministry that does outreach at the sex bars, in the slums, and to college students. Our hub is a delightful coffee shop that God blessed the ministry with just a few months ago. And our ministry contact is Emmi, an absolutely hilarious fireball of a woman whose “Tinglish” (Thai-English) is wonderful!

The whole squad is together this month (which is a huge treat), and my team’s focus is the bar ministry. For security reasons, I can’t explain too fully, but basically we are making inroads in the commercial sex industry. This is a very dark scene, but through prayer and the love of God, the light will overcome the darkness.

Before we leave this month, we will be introducing all our new Thai friends to Emmi since she will be here for the long-run. We are planning a luau and an end-of-the-month party as fun ways to build relationships and make connections.

I will keep yall posted as ministry unfolds here. In the meanwhile, I encourage you to check out Emmi’s story at this site (www.lighthouseinaction.org/our-founder/) and the ministry at www.lighthouseinaction.org. Lighthouse just recently stepped out from YWAM’s umbrella, so Emmi and her staff are praying for daily provision as well as help in figuring out the logistical side of running the ministry. If you have expertise in this area or would like to make a donation toward our end-of-the-month party, please contact Emmi at www.lighthouseinaction.org/contact/ or donate at www.lighthouseinaction.org/get-involved/donate/.

If yall want to be praying, please pray that:
1. We will each make one genuine friendship with a local this month.
2. We will be able to overcome the darkness, rather than being overcome by it.

Thanks for fighting the good fight with us!

Much love,
Katie
