Today marks 11 days left until I’m home. As many of my squadmates are doing, I’m going to do a recap of a memory from each country starting from the beginning!
Going back to Bulenga, Uganda – Month 1 on the race. This month we taught in a school run by RUHU (Raising Up Hope for Uganda). This is Shadrach, one of my little second grade students from Uganda. One time when we did a skit of the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, I had him play Shadrach obviously. He was less than thrilled with me. Regardless I miss his little face and his chipper personality. I pray that RUHU continues to provide him with an education both academic and spiritual and that his sponsorship continues to meet his tangible needs.
