I’m sort of Type A. I like things to get done and I hate feeling unproductive. Today we all loaded up and went to the church Casa Bethel. It was one of those times where there are 23 of us but only about 10 peoples worth of jobs. So what do you do? I personally feel the need to be productive but what happens when you can’t? Today I needed to tweak my definition of productive. Because I wasn’t leveling cement or shoveling, I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with one of our bus drivers for an hour and a half! The fact that this was in Spanish made me absolutely thrilled. Even more so was the connection that I made. It was just so great to sit down and hear his story, to connect with another person. So yeah, I wasn’t super productive in the physical church building sense but having that one-on-one conversation was the highlight of my day. Hopefully it was able to bring some light into his day!
