1st story from today
Today I checked my fundraising page. I was $48 short of $7,000. I told my friend “Cool! I only need to sell 3 more t-shirts to hit $7,000 that would be awesome.” I then went bowling with my campers. I came back out to the car and got a text from another friend saying did I have any more shirts because she needed 3 more! That was such a GOD MOMENT!
I took that as God saying, “You asked, I gave. That simple”
The transition: I said, Ok so if the whole ask and receive thing works, God I need you to provide that other $10,000.
2nd story from today:
I normally try not to bring up this trip while working. Granted I work in a Christian environment and people are (mostly) happy to hear about it but I try to generally not detract from the awesome work that we’re doing here at the store.
Cue the guest sent by God.
After telling her about the World Vision Water Effect, I brought up my trip. We talked about it for about 10 minutes, she bought a shirt and is so jazzed about it! Turns out we go to the same church (shoutout to Love of Christ). She told me that she is going to take my trip to her small group leader! She said she didn’t even know why she came into the store today, she just felt like God wanted her to. She couldn’t even wait to get home, she called her leader and then called me back at the store! Her enthusiasm is contagious and God knows exactly what we need.
A blog about how God completely wrecked me in all of the right ways at training camp is coming with in a day or two so stay tuned for that!
All my love,
Katie
