Hi there :] My name is Katie. Welcome to my adventure! I’m a preschool teacher, an idealist, a sister, a disciple of Jesus, and a child at heart. I’m pretty good at resolving conflicts, telling stories, and making lists.
I like warm drinks, starry skies, reading, journaling, being silly, and taking naps. I don’t like that I over think things and let insecurity stop me from living in the total freedom that Jesus died to give me. I love that my God has even bigger hopes and dreams for a future of joy for me than I even have for myself, and He’s got it under control.
Aaaand… It looks like I may be about to embark on a pretty crazy journey. I guess that’s not exactly right though, because it’s really just more of the same journey I’ve been on all along. The journey is about to change though. Eh, look a little different. The geography will look different, the community will too, and even the daily to-do lists will change. But it’s still me, and it’s still Him. And He’s always asked for the same thing- my everything. To love Him with my everything and then let the love I receive from Him to spill over onto the people around me. To pour over them. In the Name of Jesus.
I’m pretty nervous. I don’t trust my own motives and I’m afraid of making choices that I’ll later regret and I really hate feeling like others don’t approve of or respect what I’m doing.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
He’s going to do stuff in me and through me. Wow. That’s an adventure no matter what the geography, community, and to-do lists look like. Praise God, He’s bigger, He’s powerful, His grace is enough.
