Over the past week or so I have had a lot of people ask me for a copy of my fundraising letter and what countries I will be visiting. I decided to post my letter and a list of countries (and the months I will be in them) on my blog for those of you who may not have received these things yet. Thanks for all the feedback!

Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well! I would like to share with you an incredible opportunity that I have been given. As many of you know, I have recently returned home after spending a year working at Washington Family Ranch – a Young Life camp in central Oregon. The past year was one of the best of my life and I left Oregon with countless memories and lifelong friends. The Lord showed up in incredible ways as I learned more about myself, and the person I desire to be. As I began to pray about my plans after Washington Family Ranch, I sensed the Lord would provide something unique and he has once again delivered.
I first heard about Adventures in Missions and the World Race as a senior in college as I was thinking about what to do after I graduated. It was clear at that time that the Lord was calling me to Oregon. Little did I know that the World Race would reemerge in his plan for me a little more than a year later. The World Race is a program sponsored by Adventure In Missions, an established missions organization that sends thousands of people into the field every year. The World Race is one of many programs sponsored by Adventures in Missions. It is an 11-month mission trip to 11 different countries. This trip is a stretching journey to serve the people of our world, while surrounded by real and raw community. Over the course of the 11 months, groups spend one month in each country. We will be partnering with local churches and organizations to provide aid and meet the needs of local communities while spreading the good news of the Gospel. Opportunities to serve include: preaching in local churches, organizing summer camps for kids, visiting children in orphanages, doing construction work, engaging with people door-to-door and many other things.
I have always had a deep desire to see the world and to have the opportunity to meet and love people for Christ. The World Race will give me the chance to merge these two desires. I will experience the Lord’s unique creation and be able to stand with ministries and organizations that are making a difference in their countries. I cannot read the Bible and ignore the call for us to go, to preach the gospel (Mark 16:15), to make disciples (Matthew 28:19), and to tell of his wonders (Psalms 96:3). My heart’s desire is to live this out – knowing that the Lord is going to use the places and people that I meet to further his kingdom.
To make this opportunity a reality, I am developing a team of ministry partners who will support me. Raising the funds needed for this adventure will be a huge step of faith for me, and I am excited to see how God provides. I have been accepted to the July Route 1. I am especially excited for this route because it will visit more of the world than any other route. I would be honored if you would consider partnering with me financially and in prayer. Each World Race participant is asked to raise $16,275 which will cover the costs of the 11-month trip.

May 1, 2015 – $3,500
June 12, 2015 – $7,500
October 1, 2015- $11,000
January 1, 2016 – Fully Funded
