This is a little late posting but better now than never!!

Taken it back to 4 January 2014, before I met up with the rest of my squad in Atlanta, Ga (Shout out: B-Squad Best Squad).  I met up with 2 of my faves Julie Shirley and Kimberly Bell in Nashville, TN.  I had the pleasure of staying at Julie’s casa with her parents and then continuing on to Atlanta a day later to meet and spend time with some family friends of Julie’s.  I never would have guessed in a million years what God had in store for me!!

First we all met up with and ate dinner with Ms. Ollie at one of the legendary ATL hotspots, The Varsity.  After dinner Julie asked if Ms. Ollie had a word from God for any of us, and she sure did!  The thing that stood out most to me was that she told me the dreams I have had were not dreams but rather they were visions that God was sharing with me and promising me. These “dreams” weren’t by mistake or a jumbled up together randomness in my brain that I made up like normal dreams usually are.  Wow, to think that God loves me and cares for me so much that He wants to share His visions with me as He watches over me in safety while I sleep.

Another thing that struck home was that she said there is something about a snake, it is His promise to you and it was real.  Shock and awe again.  Earlier that day in the car ride from Nashville to Atlanta I had closed my eyes and clear as day saw me sitting in the car and a snake slithering up my leg wiggling its tongue.  I jumped awake and realized it was just a hallucination but thought it was odd.  Oh well I laid my head back down and as soon as I closed my eyes again I saw the snake lying there but this time I saw a foot step on the snake about ¼ of the way down its back and a large knife chop the snakes head off.  I again startled sat up but this time I heard God speak.  Katie don’t be frightened, the snake is going to try to harm you this year but I am with you and I have already conquered the snake.

Who would have thought 20 days later, the day before my 27th birthday, I would be chopping the head off a snake at our home in South Africa.  Our ministry host Erika was quite upset and had asked God why, why the day before my birthday did I have to kill a snake.  He revealed to her that it was symbolic for spiritual things that were going on.  That I had to kill the snake because it was trying to steal the new life God was implanting in me.  And if that isn’t enough, I had found out that the snake I killed was actually an egg eater that slithers up the trees and steals life before it is fully developed and can be hatched.

God is SO good!!

Part 2 Preview

Now as if Part 1 wasn’t awesome enough, God also brought another friend of Julie’s family into my life and gave him a dream, which turned into a healing.
