When God places it on your heart to ditch social media, you listen. I have a bit of an addictive personality which I am thankful to be able to recognize. But just because I realize this does not mean it goes away.
It is day 2 of launch. We are in our final training sessions before leaving the country on Saturday to head to India. I left my phone at home, and my laptop stays in my hotel room. In these two days I have found myself going through major “withdrawal” from technology.
It has been hard.
What is harder though is this desire to run to my computer as soon as I can to escape. I catch myself sitting here scrolling through Facebook living and focusing on other people. Not on building a relationship with the guy (aka God) that is going to be my Rock for these next 11 months.
So today I wrote my last post on Facebook, and logged out. >>I left Instagram with my phone at home.>>>I cancelled Netflix.
And with it I handed my life back over to the One who matters the most. The One who called me to this journey. With this decision I choose to live in the present. To get the most out of this experience.
I ask for you to please subscribe to my blog to follow along on what is going to be one crazy, beautiful, life changing of an adventure all led by our Lord and Savior, the absolute best guide around.
