Right now, in this moment I am standing still. Looking on my life for what it was, knowing this next year will sweep in with life changes I cannot even begin to fathom. As I get ready to close this chapter, I feel nothing but peace in my heart.
This next year is sure to be a wild crazy ride. I will be faced with the choice time and time again to either shut down. To hide in fear. Or to take a deep breath and open my heart.
So for this very special New Year I resolve to:
simplify.
to live with less in order to focus on God alone.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
love.
to receive God’s unconditional love with open arms so that I may learn to show the same love to those around me.
“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
trust.
to stop expecting and planing and instead to rely solely on our Heavenly Father.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
