I have only 2 months left in the USA and only 10 days until training camp!!! Time is flying. The exciting news is I have met my first two fundraising deadlines, which means I am officially able to launch with my team in September!!! What a huge blessing, seriously. I can’t thank you all enough.

I still have about $8,000 left to raise to be fully funded. While that is a huge number, a crazy large amount of money, and a scary thing to wrap my head around, I know (on a good day) that God provides and I am trusting God to bring in all the needed money.

The problem is…

I like doing everything on my own.

I don’t like asking for help. Doesn’t asking for help show weakness?

I want to rely on my own strength and my own skills to raise this money.

I fear being rejected, especially by people I really need support from.

I’m prideful. And I pride myself on being independent.

But, the truth is…

I cannot do this on my own. There’s no way.

I do need help. I need your help. And I need to learn to be ok with asking for money.

No strength or skills of my own will ever be enough to raise over $16,000. Only with God’s strength, power and faithfulness will this trip ever happen.

I will be rejected, but it won’t kill me. And I will also be, and have been, amazed by the encouragement and generosity of supporters.

I need to lose the pride and humble myself before the Lord. Because, really, this isn’t about me at all.

The truth is raising money is HARD. But, dang, is it worth it.

So here’s to giving this whole fundraising process up to Lord. Here’s to letting go of the control I desperately want and trusting God more fully. Here’s to learning to ask for help and trusting God with every letter, phone call, support appointment, relationship, and dollar.

But why even raise support?
Support raising is just as much a part of the journey as the other 11 months. I know these lessons of trusting God and depending on God while raising support are preparing me for the many challenges I’ll face on the Race.  And beyond that, raising support gives you, my friends and family, the opportunity to go on the World Race with me. By donating, you are partnering with me to reach the unreached for Jesus, and to love, serve, and bring hope to the people of these 11 countries. Although your hands and feet may stay a little cleaner than mine, yours are the hands and feet of Jesus, just the same.  Raising support is a way of inviting you to be involved in the work God is doing in these 11 countries.

Let’s do this together.

  • Online donations can take 3-5 days to process.
  • A donor may set up a reoccurring donation through this option. The donor will be prompted to select a start date and an end date for their donations. The donations will automatically stop at the end date, if one is selected.
  • IMPORTANT: All donors need to STOP their reoccurring donations after the participant’s 6th month on the field.  Any donations made after the 6th month will NOT be counted towards the final deadline.

4. Donate through Dynapay

  • Dynapay is an option for donating through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), which allows a donor to set up a monthly donation through the donor’s personal checking account.
  • Donors are unable to make a one-time only donation through Dynapay; this is strictly for reoccurring donations.
  • A donor can set up their reoccurring donation by going to the following website https://www.adventures.org/dynapay and completing the required fields.
  • Donations through Dynapay typically take 1-2 weeks to be processed. Donations are withdrawn from the donor’s account on either the 3rd or the 18th of the month.
  • Donors may set up an end date for their reoccurring donations when they set up their initial DynaPay account.
  • If a donor does not select an end date a donor MUST submit a written request (fax, letter, e-mail) to Donor Relations to stop their reoccurring donation. This will NOT happen automatically.   A two weeks advance notice must be provided to stop any future reoccurring donations.
  • IMPORTANT: All donors need to STOP their reoccurring donations after the participant’s 6th month on the field.
  • There is no processing fee charged when using Dynapay.
